Virginia "Ginny" Marie Colberg Bley

Moore, SC- Virginia Marie Colberg Bley, 89, wife of Melvyn Lloyd Bley, died on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

Born December 12, 1933 in New York City, NY, Ginny was a daughter of the late Arthur Edward Colberg and Marie Broadhead Colberg. She attended Gettysburg College where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority, and graduated from Bryant-Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo, NY. Ginny was an avid needle worker who won many blue ribbons at the South Carolina State Fair. She was also a member of the Luther Braille Workers.

In addition to her husband, Melvyn, Ginny is survived by her daughter, Joyce Thompson (Richard) of Starr, SC; her son, Ralph Bley (Francine) of Spartanburg, SC; grandsons, Ryan Bley (Savannah), Wallace Thompson of Portland, OR, and Adam Thompson of Philadelphia, PA; and great grandchildren, Chapman and Ellis Joy Bley of Dawsonville, GA.

Virginia was, most of all, a great wife, mother, and grandmother.

A visitation will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376, Thursday, February 9^th, 6-8PM.

Graveside services will be Friday, February 10^th, 2:00PM at Celestial Gardens, 3111 Delree Street, West Columbia, SC 29170.
