David L. Turney

David L. Turney, 75, of Spartanburg passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. Born August 28, 1948, he was a son of the late Luther and Edith Turney and husband of Mona R. Turney. A graduate of Spartan High School, class of 1966, David went on to become a skilled and respected truck driver. His career included time at Thurston Motor Lines, Bi-Lo distribution, C&S Wholesale Grocers, and Westside Collision. His dedication to his work and his commitment to providing for his family were truly remarkable. He is survived by his wife, Mona; two sons, Jeff Turney and Chris Turney; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins. In celebration of David's life, family and friends are invited to join in a luncheon at his home at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2023. This will be a time to share stories, memories, and laughter, as they remember the remarkable man who touched their lives.
