Charles Ragans Hughes

Spartanburg, SC- Charles Ragans Hughes, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018. Born July 12, 1931 in Spartanburg, SC, Charles was a son of the late George and Ola Bishop Hughes. He retired from Arkwright Mills after 30 years of service and was a member of Stone Station Baptist Church. Charles is survived by the love of his life, Evelyn Shipman; niece and care giver, Linda Gail McKittrick. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Andrew and Workman Hughes; and a sister, Sarah Hughes Garrett. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 15th, 2:00PM at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following at the graveside.
