Gretchen Ann Estep

Spartanburg, SC- Gretchen A. Estep, 75, wife of John David Estep, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Born August 13, 1939 in Logan, West Virginia, Gretchen was a daughter of the late James Knox and Arminda Gallion Aude. She was a graduate of Logan High School, Morris Harvey College, and West Virginia University where she obtained her B. A. in Sociology and Psychology and her M.S. in Physical Education. Gretchen was a teacher for 14 years. She was a creative soul who used her talents to craft projects for donation to help local animal rescue shelters. Gretchen was a member of Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Chris Estep; her sister, Mindy Lee Glick; and good friend, Rabab Hosn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
